Instructions for Authors/Manuscript Preparation Checklist
All articles are published in English. Submission of an article implies that the work has not been published or being considered for publication elsewhere. All relevant submissions will undergo a peer-review process.
Prepare and submit a blinded copy of your manuscript. Names of authors should NOT appear in the text of the blinded copy. In addition, attach a separate cover page that includes the title of the paper, title and affiliation of each author with postal, e-mail addresses and ORCID (if available), and clearly indicate the corresponding author. All Listed authors must satisfy the four ICMJE criteria for authorship (https://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html)
With each copy (blinded manuscript and cover page), include a structured abstract not exceeding 250 words. Abstract should be followed by up to five keywords.
Manuscripts should not exceed 25 pages or 8000 words including tables, graphs, figures, and references.
Tables, graphs, and figures should be labelled in numerical order with Roman numerals and embedded in the text. Label tables at the top and follow the heading with the title of the table. Label graphs and figures at the bottom. Tables, graphs and figures must be referenced in the text.
Place references in alphabetical order at the end of the text. References should be made only if they are cited in the text; and to works that are published, accepted for publication, or available through libraries or institutions.
As an Open Access journal, this journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of =N=30,000 for Nigerian authors, $50 for authors from other African countries, and $100 for other international authors. This is payable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
For Nigerian authors, a manuscript review fee of N5,000 applies and must be paid by the author(s) prior to the peer-review process.
